Commercial, Biomedical Research Facility

The Research Institute conducts biomedical research that benefits the Seattle Children’s Hospital and children’s health care globally. Located in Downtown Seattle, the Jack R. MacDonald Building renovation encompassed 236,000 square feet, including six floors outfitted for bench laboratory research. The building, which provides core laboratories and a state-of-the-art barrier vivarium, accommodates 750 staff that makes up interdisciplinary teams conducting bench research and clinical trials.
